Here is an article telling the story about the arrival of the first keg of beer from Munich for the very first Hamilton Oktoberfest. Notice a very young Franz Klaber on the right and his brother-in-law Dave Keller on the left. They were both just in their 20's at the time, and were instrumental in starting the first Oktoberfest in the area.

The Klaberheads, known exclusively as the Franz Klaber Orchestra at the time of that first local Oktoberfest, are pleased to be returning to the Hamilton Liberty Home Oktoberfest Friday night to kick off the 50th Anniversary Oktoberfest.

The Klaberheads return to the Cleveland Oktoberfest, Labor Day Weekend, Saturday September 4th and Sunday September 5th!!

Whether it's toe-tapping polkas for an Oktoberfest, Big Band Swing for a dance, or just fun music for your party, you will find the right music and entertainment for your event with the Klaberheads.

Our orchestra is known in the mid-western states as a consistent crowd pleaser; a reputation that my grandfather, a German immigrant, began building when he founded the orchestra in 1930.  It's a reputation that has has earned us invitations to perform at Epcot Center, Oktoberfests in Cleveland, Columbus and "Zinzinnati", as well as the Wurstfest in New Braunfels, Texas.
